Digging for Razor Clams
One of the Pacific Northwest experiences I was looking forward to. I read on the newspaper that several beaches would be open for razor clam digging. Number of us made our trip to GI Joes to buy our shellfish license and clam gun, which was quite heavy. Then, next day, bought our boots, geared up..and made our way to Twin Harbor Beach, which was 2.5 hours drive. The lowest tide was expected at 4:00 pm..so I, Kelvin, and Julie got there about 2:30 pm. There were thousands of people with their clam guns walking around the beach, looking for clams. Dimples? What dimples. Couldn't see a thing. I just started randomly placing the clam gun into the sand with no success. Then, my boots got all wet when the tides came in and water sipped into the boots. My feet were so numb I thought they were frost bitten. Few minutes later, it started raining...now, it was impossible to see the dimples..and the temperature started dropping to the low 30s. We just happen to catch a very slow day. Then, one of the passerby said that we should come back tomorrow. No way, I said to myself. I am not driving back and forth again for this. To top it off, my San Diego Chargers lost to the Patriots next day.

Seattle Underground Tour/Bellevue Square/Christmas Lights at Bellevue Garden

Seattle Underground Tour with Calvin, Julie, and Lilly. The tour guide was flat out hilarious! We also gleaned the important contribution Thomas Crapper made to the city of Seattle. Afterward, we saw these wonderful display of ice sculptures..then off we went to the Bellevue mall, where we were joined by Jake and Jean, and then off we went to the Bellevue botanical garden to see the Christmas lights. Great times.
